I was definately engaging in more "pleasurable" activities ... very talkative, little need for sleep, dating alot, going out to diner all the time. How do you figure out if it is true hypomania or you are just acting like "normal" people? I was thinking maybe sleep was a good indication.

I'm sorry it took me so long to answer. I have not been online for a time.Yes, I do think sleep is a good indicator of what state we are in - depression, hypomania, mania, etc. With Nardil, I was in each of these moods, but mostly within reason.
In thinking back on my history, I remembered that when I had my worst manic epi, I was also on cortisone for a very bad case of poison ivy.My dosage was fairly high to begin with.
Has anyone else been on cortisone and noticed it increasing their feelings of well being or even producing mania??
