I spent about $3000.00 dollars of my life-savings, was up night and day, thought I could become a business-person on a wing and a word, thought I could accomplish anything, drove very recklessly for me, etc. I had never felt so good in all my life, so it is very hard to give up the feeling; if one could just put it in a bottle, and use it bit by bit, it would be nice. up 'n' down

Dear Ace;I'm glad that you can feel so good and maintain. The Nardil exposed in me the truth of a further dx. of Bi-polarI/II, and that episode I had was a true manic episode. However, I did not have marvellous results from Nardil, but consistently good after I went through the first 5 years of side effects. Then I began to retain too much serotonin in my system after 15 years total on it. It was imperative that I stop taking it, and we tried tapering, but my systoms were so bad, I just had to go off completely. I lived through it, but it wasn't fun.
I am still a believer in Nardil because it brought me out of an horrible abyss and saved my life. It is good you have diseases that it can help so well. With each of our individual systems, and the medications available's different effects, no wonder it is hard to find the right match! up 'n' down
