Hey babblefolk! Well for what its worth I'm posting my experiences with reboxetine/edronax (a Selective Noradrenline Reuptake Inhibitor)
So....currently I'm on a 1/4 of a tab of celexa one daily (5mg/day) and half a tab of reboxetine twice daily (4mg in total/day)
And well..... its good! I have noticed several good things. I have more energy, motivation and concentration. I no longer need to sleep all the time. I am losing the weight celexa made me put on (around 20lbs, although I was pretty thin then BMI ~19)
And its affecting me in more subtle ways than I would imagine. I am alot less implusive - which is a good thing, and I can plan ahead if you know what I mean. I think about my finances rather than not checking my bank balance for weeks. Its really nice, because I'm starting to feel in control of my life. Not sure I'm making sense. Anyway.... its still early days. Also I don't have any depression/aniexty which I guess is the whole point!
So the bad things...well, a touch of insomnia, at the very begining which quickly wore off. I think it might make my heart beat ever so slightly faster, and I definatley get a head rush when I stand up too fast, but I have always had this, its just abit worse now. I sweat alot more now and get really hot at times - and this has produced more pimples that the normal one or two I get before my period. However, I think that these are side effects and they will hopefully wear off. Also having a drink really isn't too good an idea, it makes you feel really really weird and you feel wasted on half a lager. Eh well, I never could handle my drink!
So overall - I am really liking it! I'm going still trying to taper off the celexa, although at 1/4 of a tab its going to be physically difficult to break it up even smaller! I need one of those super accurate scales that you get in chemistry labs.....
I realise that some of the good things I'm experiencing might be due to the discontinuation of celexa, but I'm not getting any aniexty/depression so I can only figure that its the reboxetine working.....well we'll see. At the moment, I'm unsure whether to ramp up the reboxetine anymore, but I figure no, its working fine as it is. Plus I've heard bad things when people start at too high a dose.
Take care everyone.....
