Klonopin - sedation before anxiolytic effect

Posted by 4WD on July 28, 2005, at 21:50:55

It seems lately like if I take enough Klonopin to completely get rid of the anxiety (.75 -1mg) then I get kind of groggy and yucky feeling. I feel kind of sedated. It's not a pleasant sedated feeling, more a sluggish not really mentally acute feeling. But if I take less (.5mg) the anxiety is still there under the surface, making me constantly aware that I'm uncomfortable.

Used to, .5 mg completely took away the anxiety without grogginess. The higher dose also kind of affects my memory and makes me kind of ditsy. Will this pass? Or should I just be willing to take the smaller dose and live with the residual anxiety?

Jumpy or ditsy & groggy - that is the question.
