I just spoke to a couple of pharmacists and then did some more research on-line and there ARE sustained release generic versions of the dexedrine spansules. My doctor wrote "d/-amphetamine" on the prescription but then he wrote "spansules" after that. I think he intended the generic for me. If the spansules themselves aren't all that great, then I shouldn't be sacrificing much in the way of quality to go for the generic, right?
