Hi, Kara!
I've taken Dexedrine immediate release tablets, Dexedrine Spansules and generic dextroamphetamine tablets. For ME, the name-brand Dexedrine tablets were the best. I didn't think the generic tablets lasted as long, and they didn't feel the same. In my experience, the Spansules were unpredictable and inconsistent; unfortunately, Glaxo Smith Kline (formerly called Smith, Kline and French; then Smith, Kline Beecham or Beckham -- or whatever!) never "upgraded" the Spansules' release mechanism to the level of either Adderall-XR or Concerta. I don't know why. I think it would sell well, but I'm sure their marketing division knows much more about that than I do.
