does Xanax boost serotonin?

Posted by rjlockhart98 on July 19, 2005, at 10:46:44

I have read in some literature that it has antidepressant properties.

I belive both Clonazpemam and Alprazolam work on some serotonin receptors. Mainly why they are chosen for panic. As same to potent SSRI's like Paxil.

Sometimes Klonopin gives me feeling of relief. Ativan on the hand seemed to have a "numb" relief. I guess since it doesnt work on Serotonin.

Anyways, just wanted to know if anyone knows literature on it.
