Good news, bad news and Cymbalta

Posted by up'n'down on July 15, 2005, at 1:43:52

The good news is that Cymbalta is working better for me than Effexor XR did!! What a delight to have a clearer-feeling mind instead of a fuzzy one. No one but we who suffer from all these mental/emotional diseases really understands how wonderful a simple thing like that feels.
I especially know Cymbalta is working for me, because I'm still able to keep my basic function even though my dear father died on May 21, while I sat at his side: that is the bad news. However, he was seriously ill, and we knew he didn't have long to live. He died more quickly than we thought he would though, because he got aspiration pneumonia and his left lung collapsed. He had very little lung function, so he was critically ill. A healthy person would have recovered, but he just had too much against him. It was very hard to sit by his side and hear him gasping for air, so it is
a relief that he isn't suffering anymore, but we really miss him. I have good family support and a very good Pharmopsychiatrist.
Is anyone else having good results from Cymbalta? I am also on Xanax and Depakote. up'n'down
