I take the XR version of effexor and I divide the dose into 75mg in morning and 150mg at night. I thought I was feeling a mild withdrawal because of the short half life. I take the larger dose at night because of the sedation. I don't know about possible interactions, but the effexor can definitely make you tired. Good luck.
