I think most anti-psychotics like sertindole are usually put through trials for schizophrenia first. Then, they may try to get other approvals for Bipolar or anxiety, etc, if they're found useful in other areas. I couldn't find anything by searching about sertindole being used for anxiety except for my first post that said it has an anxiolytic property. This could be though, because sertindole was only out for a couple of years and before it got withdrawn from most markets in 1998 for causing possible heart problems in some patients.
