theres an old saying, "If you think your crazy, your probably not".
Seriously though insight is one of the defining mantras of psychosis, what you feel might be what you define as completely normal but to others is off the wall. I think it was 1984 that said madness is when you dont share the views of the rest of the populous. Of course in 1984 you question whether its not the populous who are mad and the one is the sane. I think people with psychosis have this classic dilemma, what is real and what is not real. Is the dx of sz real? am I crazy or are the people who think I am crazy crazy themselves. Its a horrible question to try to answer.
I think getting stuck on the questions of am I really crazy, is all this real or not is just too complex for us to understand. I just always refy to the original paradox, if I knew I was crazy then I probably wouldnt be.
Hope this helps, it has been quite fun for me to write this I havent thought about this kind of thing for some time but it used to bug me endlessly.
