Well that varies. It is different for different people. There is typically a 'clinical range' (I think that is what it is called) that is supposed to define what 'theraputic' levels are - but some people find 'sub-theraputic' levels to be theraputic for them, and other people find that they are able to tolerate more than the maximum in the clinical range.

Well...
The question should really be:
'Is this a good dose FOR ME?'
Are you benefiting from it?
What happens when the dosage is reduced a little - more benefit or less?
How about when it is increased?
It can sometimes take a bit of playing around to figure out what is right for you.
Your p-doc should be able to help you out with that if you keep him informed of how you are finding the medication.

I used to be on 250mg 2x daily. That worked pretty good for me.
Now I can't handle more than 50mg nocte.
