I'm sorry, Maxime. I don't want to trigger bad feelings for you. And I guess when I talk about "recovery" from AN, I mean the psychological stuff, not the physical.
Then again, remember that I have a Serious Mental Illness, so what the hell do I know? :^D
Listen, there are so many options for anti-depressant therapy besides ECT. I hope to heaven that you've gotten some good ideas here that you can take to your doctor, and that you find something helpful. If your doctor is amenable to suggestions, how about asking about targetting the anxiety spectrum first, and then look for ways to improve your mood? Maybe something like a beta-blocker for anxiety? If your blood pressure isn't too low to begin with, that could be a really good choice for you, because you don't seem to go through the mental anguish of anxiety so much as the cornered-animal side of it. (That's how I think of it in my case, so don't take the description personally, 'K?)
For what it's worth, people here do care what happens to you, and many here know so much that they may have some suggestions that will help.
Best wishes to you, and nasty faces towards anyone who hassles you.
