> fires, do you feel lightheaded or shaky during exercise?

No, but I do get too warm and thirsty or hungry.

>> when my blood sugar is low, whether or not i'm exercising, i get irritable and more active, but with other symptoms like shakiness, dizziness, hunger, and a hot feeling. i'm diagnosed as BP, and i have the sort of depressions where i'm restless and need to move, lose my appetite, and ruminate. my hypomanic states tend not to be troublesome-- i'm hyper and driven but full of energy to keep it going.<<<<

Sometimes I'm "wired but tired".

>
> i may have misread, but if physical activity makes you irritable, why are you exerting yourself?<<

It takes very little exertion.

>> maybe some things to think about-- how are your thoughts? are you mentally wired as well as physically? how's your sleep? could you be getting irritable because your sleep isn't good?<<

Sleep is not good. I have Periodic Limb Movements while asleep. Take 0.125 mg Mirapex, but I'm not sure it's working.

>>> do you feel motivated and driven toward some end or just agitated? my experience with BP is that if feels like an internal motor turned on too fast and beyond your control.<<

I don't feel agitated. Sometimes I do talk too much and/or too fast, but that hasn't happened for a while.

>> also, what's the nature of your anxiety? is it panicky? is it present all the time or only when you're depressed? do certain situations or thoughts provoke it?<<<

I tell docs I don't think anxiety is the problem because I don't feel anxious. They say my physical symptoms are due to anxiety. (Basically because they aren't explained by my other conditions).

I never feel panicky -- not even while I was having a "panic attack" (I prefer "adrenalin dump").

>>> and finally, do you have repeated episodes of depression?<<

Often 4 to 5 episodes a day!!! Fortunately I'm not totally anhedonic during them.

>> are they severe or more just blue moods? and have you experienced highs as well?<<

They can be quite debilitating. I don't get highs. Very mild hypomania, if at all.

>>> one last thought-- have you tried antidepressants and how have you responsed? antidepressants, especially SSRIs, often make people with BP worse. for me, they make my agitation ten times worse and my thoughts that much faster.<<

Effexor and Remeron were too much "rocket fuel."

Paxil made me feel like I was going to become psychotic, and Cymbalta caused severe lethargy.

I have samples of Albilify, but I'm waiting until after my cardiac stress test to start it.

>>> i hope these questions help some.

Yes they made me think some more. I'm at a quandary re: treatment -> BP II or anxiety/Dep. . I still think other med. problems may be "clouding the waters." I'm hoping for some new "data" (experiences to help me decide what to do.)

Thanks
