Hi,

>How long does a single dose of Valium last for you?

In short-term use, a single dose of Valium lasts a few hours. For me, it lasts about 2 hours at most, mild residual effects can persist for much longer. After Valium has been taken regularly for a few weeks, it's active metabolites accumulate and eventually steady-state is reached. At this point, a single dose lasts much longer, some people can get away with taking it once daily. Many people have to take it more often though 2-3 times a day, some people even have to take it four times a day. After regular administration for a few weeks, Valium has a longer duration of action than Klonopin.

Ed.
