I've never met anyone else taking it for anxiety and my pdoc's 1st choice for me was the clonazepam. I am without a pdoc at the present so I'm wondering if my GP would even consider prescribing valium for me. My dad is suffering from anciety and panic attacks, so I think it's in my genes. Perhaps my family history would support my trying other things for anxiety. My dad has been prescribed Paxil and Xanax and he refuses to take either - he is a mess right now!

Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. I will research it a bit more before my next appt.

:-) Colleen
