> I was taking klonopin along with 40 mg Parnate. Klonopin was replaced by Tranxene 10 mg. This gave me less depression. During last 3 weeks I reduced Parnate to 20 mg. I have more energy, no anxiety, no hypersomnia. What the hell is it? Do you know effective dosage for Parnate? Maybe I don't need drugs at all? Any suggestions?
If you're feeling OK on this combo, at these dosages, then you should leave well enough alone for now. It sounds to me like you definitely need an AD., but don't switch to Nardil if the Parnate seems to be helpful. You're one of the lucky ones who does OK on a low dose of (my maintenance dose is usually 30 mg./day). I have major depression w/severe anxiety, all in remission, and am taking Parnate for 20 years. I did well with Klonopin as an adjunct for sleep, but everyone is different. Again, I think you should give the low dose Parnate/tranxene some time before experimenting with anything else. Good luck. cubbybear
