I have noticed that a lot of anti-convulsants work on CA and NA in the brain.

I just recently got a hair analysis done and it showed low lithium levels and four times the amount of calcium and magnesium than is usually seen in hair samples. However, I don't know if hair samples correlate with what is in your blood serum, or in your brain.

I have not been dx'd as bipolar (felt great on paxil for many years until I went through horrible withdrawal--now, nothing seems to work or I can't tolerate it), but it made me wonder. Does anyone know if people with bipolar have too much calcium?
