ok, i know that mixing psych meds and alcohol is bad. i've hardly ever done it. but i'm college-aged, and i deserve to have a life, even if it includes alcochol. most all of my meds warn about mixing with alcohol.
i'm sure i'm not the first to do this, so i wanted some advice from the veterans. i've been going to happy hour or having drinks with friends later in the night. i'm a small person, so i usually stop at two. i've been taking advil for a joint problem, and my other evening meds are usually as follows: xanax 1mg, klonopin 2mg, percocet 7.5/500 (sometimes more) lithium 750mg, seroquel 50-100mg, haldol 1-2mg, remeron 15mg, ambien 10mg, and sometimes more. i also sometimes increase the doses as needed. so this is usually the lineup i take with two drinks of alcohol. what are the risks besides a worse hangover? my close friend died of an interaction between metadone and xanax. i think he was drinking alcohol, too. how much xanax and narcotics does it take to hit that kind of danger? i'm not asking because i'm planning to do it but just in order to be safe. if it makes a difference, i'm about 5'5 and 100 pounds, but i can drink like a fish, which most people don't expect.
any thoughts? thanks!
