Metyrapone with/without hydrocortisol???????

Posted by bipolarspectrum on January 29, 2005, at 20:54:16

Hi,
I think I'm doing to ask my pdoc if I can begin metyrapone this monday... check out pubmed, there has been 2 large add-ons studies with it resulting in success... i will probably try it alone, but a study with metyrapone alone for depression used some hydrocortisone... I'm not quite sure what the hydrocortisone was used, I assume its to maintain cortisol levels.. any opinions?
