Ed,

Are you adult ADHD?

Concerta helps me remain focused, sometimes too focused on the wrong thing, but I do get stuff done. It doesn't prevent me sleeping or leave me feeling sad or grumpy. Sometimes I feel a little "robotic", flat, opposite of labile.

Adderall less effective at distraction. I think, subjectively, that my focus is crisper and my work is better but I am concerned that this may in part be a misperception ( "the drugs talking" )

Both medications feel relatively smooth and wear off fine. Adderall dusturbs sleep more. Dexedrine feels smoother than Adderall, less agita. Adderall seem shorter acting than Concerta.

It's pretty hard being one's own test subject.
I write notes so as to prepare for meetings with psychiatrist but I sometimes wish I could watch from outside myself and evaluate the effects.
It sounds as if children have much stronger effects from ADHD meds.

What are you currently prescribed?
