i prefer adderall xr. it's the most effective stimulant i've been on. i gauge this by the concentration and alertness effects as well as appetite suppression. the appetite suppression was a little much, but it was a clear sign that the drug is strong and working. concerta, i thought, was very similar to adderall xr in how it felt, except that it was weaker. i don't know if the doses were comparable-- 30mg of adderall xr vs. 27 x 3 mg of concerta. i thought concerta was actually more subtle in wearing off, so i never had any rebound type of effects when it wore off. if i can't have adderall, i would choose concerta.
