The answers are not going to come so you might as well enjoy a nice bubble bath!
It sounds like you are in a mixed state of depression and hypomania right now WHICH IS AWFUL! I have been there and it's hell.
I don't know why you are still on Paxil. He should take you off any SSRI antidepressant (you have to be weaned off). A lot people with BP do well on Wellbutrin as their AD, but everyone is different.
Don't let any doctor tell you that a med is going to help you so much. That wasn't fair of him. He should know better.
It will take some time to find the right meds, but you will find something that clicks.
I hope your doctor is not a general practioner but a psychiatrist. A GP can't manage your meds.
Be patient and do some research. You have to act as you own advocate a lot of time.
Take care
Max> Here I sit searching for answers. My current Dr. is telling me Lamictal is the end all cure for Bipolar. The problem is I have zig zaging moods every otherday. But my depression is always agitated and angry. So I am looking into this disorder and need any information on "current" treatment medications. I see her in a week and as for my meds I'm on Lamictal, geodon, and paxil. I describe myself as slipping into the abyss of despair...
