Temazapam (Restoril) question

Has anyone here ever taken Temazapam for sleep, and if so was it very helpful. I have had problems with sleep for as long as I can remember and the only thing that was ever consistently beneficial was Ambien, only my insurance no longer covers it, and I can't afford it along with my other meds, so I'm trying temaazapam.
