Nardil and beta blockers/alpha blockers

Posted by Michael Bell on December 10, 2004, at 21:18:29

Nardil has been out for decades, and still the most severe side effect of hypertension remains an unsolved issue. It's ridiculous that a drug so effective isn't prescribed for many patients who may need it.

For those MAOI users, I was just wondering: would taking a low dose beta-blocker or alpha-blocker during a meal reduce the chance of having a hypertensive crisis? Has anyone tried this?
