I don't understand why these trials seem to take so long, I know that they have to go through different phases and everything but I still don't understand why it takes so long.
these rTMS trials seem to have been going on forever, since the 80s. About three years ago I rang the Maudsley Clinic about an rTMS trial they were doing and they said it would be another year before they could publish the results, a year later I rang them again and they still hadn't finished and as far as I know they've still not finished now.
I asked the woman that I spoke to on the phone and she said it was all about funding and finding people to participate! That's rich considering they wouldn't eveb allow me to participate because of a seizure I once had. I told her they should advertise the trial a bit better and she got quite arsey with me.
So I ended up travelling to Vancouver to have it, it cost me a lot, didnt't work for me but I never had any seizures so could have got it free in the uk after all!
