In reply to lexapro vs wellbutrin which is better, posted by cat-hate-her on November 24, 2004, at 18:40:26
Wellbutrin is a mentally activating medication at 300-450 a day. It increases your intrest in what ever your intrested in.
Its main side effects are increased anxiety and sometimes irrtibility since it does have stimulating properties, so its not the med if you have an anxiety disorder. More for energy deprivation, and motivation.Lexapro i belive is an SSRI, im not very fond of them. But it can be helpful for anxiety, but i've never taken SSRI's so i dont really know.
Wellbutrin at 150mg a day causes some activation, but not to the full effect. If you suffer from anxiety, stay with this dose.
Post back if its causing you problems
Take Care
