It's true, Prozac can be a useful tool during withdrawal but not everyone would want to transfer to a different drug, especially if they'd taken Prozac before and been unable to tolerate it. Plus it could be difficult to find the minimum dose of Prozac that would effectively reduce the withdrawal symptoms to an acceptable level. Use of an excessive dose of
Prozac might cause adverse effects. Also, every time somone is exposed to a new drug there are risks eg. allergic reactions. If Wyeth had any decency they would introduce a liquid formulation to help people withdraw.All the best,
