Thanks for your posts. This is in response to all three who posted to my original msg. as I had thoughts about what each of you said. woolav, The Trileptal is supposed to act as a mood stabilizer. Also I often think about suicide when I'm not particularly sad. And I also feel really sad sometimes for no apparent reason but can't cry. In the past I've had times where I was really really sad and would just sob and sob but I can't cry now. I guess the best thing to do would be to call my doctor and see what he thinks, though sometimes I think that doctors don't know everything. They really too much on what the research says and don't pay enough attention to what patients are telling them about what they are feeling. I've been told that side effects I've had couldn't be from the meds because that wasn't in the research! My doc told me that it couldn't be the depakote that I was taking before that was making me feel depressed even though the higher the dose I took the more depressed I got! AND that WAS in the listed side effects! Anyway, thanks for your responses.
