> PatI was involved with the Phase II (or III?) FDA national study. Unfortunately for me it did nothing. I had it in for 2 years and they tried tweaking every setting they could. Last August 2003 I had it removed. From what I understand it wasn't the huge success they'd hoped it to be - but it did help some. They at first received an approval from the FDA only a few months later this year to have that approval revoked. Apparently many on the board weren't satisfied with the findings. I haven't kept up with it since, but last I read Cyberonics was going to do everything it could to get it re-approved
