I've had more sensitivity to smells, but I think it's a combination of the dry mouth causing me to smell more of what's going on in my mouth as I breathe, the same mucus membrane drying in the sinuses allowing me to be more sensitive to actual smells, and my brain chemistry being in flux, thus causing me to be my aware of the smells. I'll smell things that probably are really there, in other words, but be much more sensitized to them.
For me, at any rate, it tends to fade after the adjustment phase.
That's just for whatever it's worth.
