I get the same thing when I'm hypomanic, but only med-induced hypomania. Effexor and Celexa/Lexapro were the ones that really did that. Usually, it is some kind of burning or rotting smell, like a mouse under the fridge or gas leaking, leaves burning, food frying, etc...
