cymbalta dose?

Posted by sedona on October 6, 2004, at 17:59:04

Hi- I have been taking 30 mg of Cymbalta for 17 days now. I have an appointment with my doctor on Monday. He had said that if I tolerated 30 mg well I would move up to 60 mg. I have had almost no side-effects with this drug, but I wanted to know if other people who are taking it plan to go up to 60 mg also. According to the Cymbalta website the therapeutic dose is usually either 40 mg or 60 mg per day, but I haven't really heard of others taking just 40 mg. Since it is so new, I have had a hard time finding information showing a significant improvement of symptoms for people taking 40 mg vs. 60 mg. I am a little scared of taking 60 mg since I have had so few problems with 30 mg. Any advice?
