Re: Max, Colleen - Racing thoughts - Doxepin, Seroquel

I've taken both and find Seroquel to be superior (for me) as a sleep aid, as my Lexapro gets me a bit wound up sometimes.

Doxepin (took for a month) made me have the worst case of the munchies. It was unreal. Had to stop taking that or I'd have eaten myself out of house and home.

Seroquel does not have that effect on me. The way it helps me to wind down at the end of the day (I take it about 2hrs before bed) is great.
I can watch a bit of TV (not too sedated), but when I turn the light off, it's lights out for me too. My wife may stay up and read, but I just crash out at 10PM. I can waken at 6AM and just one cup of coffee is needed and I'm good to go.

Hope this helps

Wildman
