> Hey, I dont know if anyone knows the answer to this question or not. But I take xanax daily along with lamictal and prozac...blah blah...anyway. If i were to take a standard drug test given by most employers, would xanax show up on it? Basically I am wondering if that would cause a problem on a drug screen....anyone know??
> SandyWell, as a trucker regulated under DOT, I have to submit to random drug and alcohol testing. I have come up positive for opiates, while using prescription Tylenol 3, and they verified the prescription with the doctor. End of problem, and the employer was not notified. I also use a benzo for sleep (temazepam), but I never had that one come back flagged, after at least six separate tests. If you have a legal prescription, they can't touch you, unless it's prohibited under regulations (or your urine concentration exceeds reasonable limits).
It depends on the reason for the test. I think airline pilots can't take certain drugs, for example.
