Can I take Trileptal and Depakote together??

Hello all,
I see my PDOC this week and was thinking about asking for a small dose of Depakote to add onto my 600 MGS of Trileptal. I was thinking about 250 MGS of Depakote a day to help quell racing thoughts. Trilpetal helps with this but not completely. Can it be done? I'm trying to take the lowest dose possible to avoid the nasty trappings of depakote side effects. Does anyone know if depakote ER comes in 250 MG capsules or is it just 500 MGs? Can you cut the regular release tabs in half??
