Lowering Effexorxr to 75mgs and adding Neurontin?

HELP!!! My doctor just lowered my dose of effexorxr from 113mgs to 75mgs. He has now added Neurontin 300Mgs, and says he will raise that dose soon. I am afraid my depression will come back if I take the effexor away. But the sexual side effects of effexor are so bad that those are depressing. I dont know what to do?! Has anyone tried this or had any luck with Neurontin?
