Just saw a new doc today, he presribed namenda along with zoloft, folic acid, provigil. He wants me to taper off paxil and wants me to continue with my lamictal but bring it down from 350 to 300 because he said it doesn't really make a difference above 300.This doctor seems to really know what he's doing and he's considered "brilliant". He better be, I spent 400 on an hour appointment.Anyway, He gave me a sample of Namenda, and when I got home, I noticed that the drug info packet that describes all the side effects etc, was missing(I"m not making assumptions, it may have fallen out). Anyway, I looked it up on the web and found out that it's a drug to treat alztiemers. I'm only 21, obviously I don't dementia but have severe cognitive problems associated with my depression so hopefully this will help, it seems a little odd though. Has anybody tried this, or am the only one? has it helped?
