It seems to be taking me a while to respond to all your questions! Dr Hutto said that, even though I was left-handed, I had about only a 1-2% change of having an actual hemisphere reversal (with language and conscious cognition on the right side). Even though this chance is small, the people doing the studies do eliminate left-handed people, as it makes their data a bit more reliable. Critics would always ask about handedness, and might feel that the study was not as carefully done as it could have been if subjects had not been selected for handedness.
If you go to someone like Dr. Hutto, he will find out as much as he can about you, and will also tell you everything he knows about TMS. Because it's not an approved treatment, he will never recommend it- the choice is always up to you. The first time I went. I felt that I was almost begging him to give me a trial of it, but I'm so glad I did!
