No, I haven't tried Trileptal. What would it do for me? I haven't had a hypomanic episode for about a year. I mainly need something that is going to keep me on an even keel as much as possible and definitely something to help with my depression. I also take 187.5mg/daily of Effexor XR.
I don't want to take anything that is going to make me gain any weight. I have too much to lose already, I don't need to add more back on. My understanding is that people who are on Seroquel usually gain a fair amount of weight. If that is true, then there is no way I'm taking that med.
I'm really at a loss of what to take at this point and I'm about ready to take the whole dang works of meds and throw them in the garbage.
I wish I understood these drugs more. All these medical terms are too much for my fried brain to comprehend. It's all so confusing and overwhelming to me.
I'm just so sick and tired of the whole thing. I wish it would all just go away. I have absolutely no idea what I should take. :(

> Hi. Topomax is a mood stabiliser (an anti-convulsant). In many people it impairs their cognitive ability and is sometimes called "topo-stupid". But many people have success with this med. It will also help you lose weight.
