In reply to Topomax / Seroquel for Bi-Polar II?, posted by Angel Girl on June 14, 2004, at 2:32:18
Hi. Topomax is a mood stabiliser (an anti-convulsant). In many people it impairs their cognitive ability and is sometimes called "topo-stupid". But many people have success with this med. It will also help you lose weight.
Seroquel is one of the milder anti-psychotics and is used as an anti-manic. Many people find this med to help with anxiety. But for others, it makes them very tired.
Have you tried Trileptal. I use it and find it to be very effective without any weird side-effects.
I hope you find something that helps.
