Food interaction *not* depend on MAOI dose?

Posted by don_bristol on June 2, 2004, at 3:57:14

I read somewhere (I can't remember where) that the potentially dangerous hypertensive food interaction of MAOIs with certain foods is generally *not* dependent on the dose of the MAOI.

Is this true?

So if I take 20 mg of Parnate am I equally susceptible to a food interacation as if I took 40 or 50 mg?

And what about food interaction with those impressive doses I read about on message boards like 80mg or 120 mg Parnate daily?
