Havent read and dont know. Maybe you want to check out the "european drug regulation authority" www.eudra.org (its down at the moment). But I can Imagine its true, because sulpiride is old, and Amisulpride is avaiable. Why dont you try this one? Schould work the same, with fewer side effects (actually none for me).
And I dont think the FDA has any power over the european drug authority, right at the monent. I am sure they dont care what they say at the other side of the pond.Roland
