Remeron + SSRI - Which? What dose? Selegiline?

I am at roughly 5 weeks on Remeron at 15 mg with reasonalble results, but not perfect. I have a terrible time with SSRIs, agitating, and wonder if I could a add a tiny bit (subclinical dose) to boost the Remeron. I went to Remeron after failing earlier this year to titrate on Zoloft and Lexapro. I know Sad Panda uses Effexor with Remeron, but I want to keep away from Effexor.
BTW, I find Remeron "stimulating", like coffee at 15 mg so I am inclined to stay at that level or at the most go to 22.5. The stimulating effect comes and goes by days or in some cases intra day.
Any suggestions would be most helpful.
