the Serzone issue

Posted by Gael on May 22, 2004, at 2:38:10

Hi - Just found out today I will be weaning off Serzone and starting Effexor.....prozac, zoloft were not good and Wellbutrin was a disaster, but then these were administered by an idiot psych who overmedicated me on everything. Since 2001 I have gone to the ends of the Earth to find docs who understand how hypersensitive I am (I took prozac at 5 mg every other day! and the "toddler dose" of Depakote!) Anyway Serzone has worked well enough since February of 2002. I've read all the posts here. I guess if anyone is hypersensitive to dosages and has had any of these experiences or has any good supportive tips or advice, then please post. I have bipolar II and am nearing the completion of Perimenopause which has wreaked havoc on my mental health. Things have been stable for about 10 months, though, with the help of estrogen supplementation. Thanks, all, for your time.
Gael
