Hello. Thanks for your response. My diagnosis is Bipolar II, predominately depressive but without mood stabilizers, I also have hypomanic swings. Nothing too dangerous (except spending too much money and heightened irritability). If it wasn't for the depression that follows the "up", I wouldn't mind but the depression is what becomes dangerous for me. I still feel that the mood stabilizer side effects are worse to put up with on a day to day basis. Basically, on the Lamictal I feel stimulated but not in a good way. Agitated is more like it. Also, in the evening I crash and become depressed. I feel pretty much dysphoric most of the time on this despite the Prozac. This has been my experience with Lamictal. I realize I have not exhausted all the possibilities out there either so I may keep trying.
