considering effexor xr

After 2 yrs on Wellbutrin (and now 1 yr off) I am in need of meds again. The Wellbutrin did not work as well as I had hoped.Has anyone here switched from Wellbutin to Effexor XR? Worsened side effects? I am concerned.
