> Hey all, I am just wondering .......is klonopin or xanax worse on short term memory? Or are all the benzos's and/or thier derivitives the same in this regard?

I have come across a few papers suggesting that memory impairment may be related to benzo's lipid solubility. The higher the lipid solubility the greater the memory impairment. Xanax has greater lipid solubility than klonopin so would be expected to have cause greater memory impairment. Diazepam has the greatest lipid solubility of all benzos. I've used klonopin, diazepam and ativan. I've experienced some memory impairment with all three. Can't remember which was one was worse :-)
