Hi there. It wasn't until recently that I discovered that I have been suffering from simple partial seizures all my life. I was diagnosed with bipolar and was going to begin therapy with anticonvulsants so I was simply conducting research etc...

The seizures abated with adulthood but they still happened.

My experiences were:

- spasms throughout my trunk (almost like a violent shiver)
- tachycardia
- "seeing stars" without any reason (hanging upside down or a bonk to the head etc..just while I was sitting doing nothing)
- lots of deja vu
- auditory disturbances--a whooshing sound and temporary loss in my right ear (always the right indicating a left lobe event)

I think that's about it...

I also had (presumably--never tested) nocturnal seizures due to medication.

Simple partial seizures are not dangerous in and of themselves. The realy worry is that they can develop into more serious ones. I've never had any problems since so I'm sure I'll be fine.
