Well, I can tell you what absence seizures (i.e. petit mal) felt like for me. Basically, without warning, one minute you're doing something and BANG! you somehow "wake up" as if you were assleep and you know something is wrong but have no memory of the seizure itself ... just before and after.

Basically, the best way I could describe it would like if you took a movie and cut out a few frames and then stitched the two ends together. Its like missing a few frames of your life.

Its also alot like when your very sleep deprived and keep snoozing off or almost snoozing off and keep waking up startled.

It didn't make me fall on the floor but it made me spill things and drop things I had been holding.

Very very annoying ... especially when it happens while you're talking to someone.

Though my experience might not be representative as it was induced by medication ... not epilepsy per say.
